Instructors Exams
After successfully completing the Instructors Development Course you’ll be well prepared for the final phase of becoming a PADI Instructor. To enroll in the Instructors Exams, you will be required to submit proof of certification as a diver for six months, and 100 logged dives. The Instructors Exam is an important PADI evaluation, applied to all PADI Instructor Candidates world wide, thus assuring consistently high instructors standards.

Can the IE be completed in metric? Yes
Is the IE available in various languages? Yes, but we must know ahead of time, in order for PADI to have the available exams.
Can we use a laptop with the Instructors Manual on CD? Yes, as long as you can show the CD and it’s a registered copy.
Presentations are timed, is consideration given to account for a language difference? Yes
If I fail the IE, how long before I can retake it? The IE now broken down into sections. So if you fail a section then it can be retaken after 10 days, at any location that an IE is taking place. You also only pay for the re-take of the section that was missed.
Where in the Caymans is the IE held? The IE is held at a location on the West Side of Grand Cayman.
Will the Course Director be present at the IE? Many Course Directors never see their students through the IE. At Cayman Diving College we believe that our Course Directors should be at the IE for moral support. Our Course Director organize the IE for PADI, so they will be present during the entire program. |
