The new program will allow you to prepare yourself for the IDC before arriving in the Caymans. It’s designed to make your IDC easier, more efficient, and it will save you valuable time. PADI now offers the opportunity to anyone that has a desire to learn more about the academics of diving to enhance their knowledge on line. Once you have completed this section you will have it applied to both your Divemaster theory exams and your Instructors Development Course dive theory exams. In other words; you will arrive to class with all of the dive theory exams all ready completed! To register click on the e-Learning link
Simply pre-pay for the Instructors Development Course and training materials at the beggining of the Divemaster Internship course and the Divemaster training is Free. The Divemaster course will take divers through a month long intensive training experience.
During the Divemaster program you will learn how to observe, assist and supervise certain diving activities. Your diving skills will be tested and perfected through a series of confined water exercises and also a series of academic lectures. Once students have gone through some of the training experience they will be able to get real hands on experience as a Divemaster in training. During this experience students will get many opportunities that will range from helping crew on a dive boat to assisting and demonstrating skills for Open Water dive students. While on the boats students will gain experience dealing one on one with customers. Students will help divers set up their gear, get customers into the water, and lead customers around some of Grand Cayman's amazing dive sites. After the dive students will get experience on getting a dive boat ready for the next dive charter.
Once the Divemaster course is completed you will enter the Instructor Development Course where you will further refine your skills and learn teaching procedures and methods. You will also be required to have your EFR Instructors rating that we offer during the IDC. As an added bonus you will also receive your EFR O2 instructors specialty rating.
After completing the Instructor Development Course students will go strait into the Instructors Exam. To make you an Instructor with more hirable training, you should consider adding on the (MSDT) Master Scuba Diver Trainer, which will be offered at the conclusion of the IDC & IE. With an Instructor rating in these areas, you will be in the select group of instructors who have much more to offer a prospective employer.
